I have been teaching Spanish for more than 20 years. Most of my teaching experience has been on the college level and most of the classes have been online. I also teach for Palm Beach State College in Palm Beach Gardens.
I attended Palm Beach Junior College (now Palm Beach State), Florida State University and Emory University, from which I have a Master's degree in Spanish language and literature.
Although I was born in Coral Gables, I grew up in West Palm Beach where my grandparents were early pioneer settlers. My mother was born in West Palm Beach, as were all of my siblings except for my younger brother, who was born in Madrid, Spain. I attended the first few years of high school there at Madrid/Torrejon Dependent's High School (MTHS) and returned in the middle of my junior year and graduated from Palm Beach High School. Since my father was in the Air Force, we lived in several different states, in Japan and in Spain, but we always came back to West Palm Beach, because that was where my maternal grandparents lived. I love living in Florida and wouldn't want to live anywhere that has cold weather!
I worked in the Training Dept. of Pratt and Whitney in Jupiter for many years as an instructional designer and, as a result of that experience, I am very interested in the use of technology in education.
I have two grown children and live with my husband and four rescued dogs in Tequesta, FL.
